CAL S12 Wrap up
14 November, 2008

We finished our last match on de_train (one of our worst maps ever) with a 21-3 win against team Live Action who then promptly disputed Sevinn. We assume it was because he was 22-2 during the first half and then something like 10-8 during the second. But hey, it’s flattering so thanks!

We finished out the season with a record of 5-3-0 and an RPI of 0.541 which is pretty decent. We only have one more match for TWL left and if we win, it should set us at 4-4-0 which isn’t bad either. We only practiced for CAL and disregarded TWL like the plague. I don’t know if we’ll participate next season.

Mandatory Meeting is happening soon. So don’t forget to check out the thread and let us know which day works best and which issues you guys want to discuss.

The Left 4 Dead demo was released Tuesday and it seems as though everyone has zombie madness. Luckily for us, the demo pre-release was brought to our attention and a few of us were able to play before the masses. The demo has great replay ability so you can only imagine how the full game will turn out. A few of us have already pre-ordered the game so come Nov. 18th, that’s what we’ll be doing. If you’re looking to find a few good players for co-op, join the forums and ask around!

Proof that we pull through!
28 October, 2008

After an upsetting week for Postal Frag losing 3/4 matches we managed to pull through with CAL’s week 6th match against xtc.gaming on de_season leaving us at 4-2-0 in CAL.

After losing 3/4 matches, you would think team morale would dip really low but for PF, it barely affected us. After shaking the disappointment off, we spent the entire week working on our game play and team play for the following week. Long hours, new strats, and perfecting our play was what helped us the most. We also managed to get in some time to play with a new recruit who happens to be a team friend.

We pulled a clean 12-0 starting on CT side and won the first round of T-side before xtc.gaming left their own server forfeting the rest of the rounds to us. It didn’t matter anyway. They knew it and we knew it. It was over. The starting line-up included team captains Sevinn and Slapdaddy, Dajooka, Whipx, and newcomer Ex-rated. I’d like to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication. It really makes a difference and with the results, who could argue?

We have a TWL League match against a very good team, obsceNe! We have had the pleasure of playing against them several times before and have lost graciously. The match also happens to be on de_season and we also start out on CT side. This one could go either way, but it should be a great match. Community Related News
I have created a “PS3 IDs” thread for those who have a PS3 and wish to list your ID and games to play with other regulars/members. I also bumped the “Steam Friend IDs” and “XFire ID” thread because there have been some new faces on the forums along with veteran members who still don’t have one another on their lists.

We have some exciting things up our sleeves for the upcoming months and I hope these things bring in some more faces to the community and revive some old ones. Keep your eyes peeled!
